INSTRUMENT INSURANCE COVERAGE HIGHLIGHTS
Generally, appraisals will be required to be not more than 3 to 5 years old for stringed instruments and bows greater than $5,000 in value. Brass and Woodwind Instruments typically do not require appraisals as it is generally very easy to determine the value of these instruments from the manufacturer. For new appraisals, we generally prefer that these be completed by any member of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers, Inc. or a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, Inc. Other appraisers would need to be submitted for approval.
PREMIUM RATE
We will design a very competitive rate after completing a full underwriting review and analysis of the overall exposure based on the total value of instruments insured. Once we have assembled all of this information we can usually turn around a proposal in five business days (maximum).
DEDUCTIBLE
An “all perils” deductible as low as $ 0 is available for qualified orchestras.
